Logarithmic Growth

Almost a year ago (Aug. 28, 2007) Tabard of the Illidari:

Last night we had 10 guild members logged on all at the same time. Of course, 30 seconds later one of them had to log off.. but for those 30 seconds we were almost a raid.

Last night, Aug. 25, 2008, at one point we had 38 people logged in. I think only 2 of them were below 60.

We had a full group in ZA and at the same time we had a group in Kara. I was with the Kara group. Over the weekend there were 3 Kara groups and a Sunwell trash farming group (we now have one Sunmote in the guild bank). Our calendar is full with almost every night having Kara/ZA or some 25-man scheduled.

Our new recruits are telling their friends about us so we’re getting even more new recruits. One of our ex-alliances (Guardians of the Flame) decided to just join with us. So we received an influx of new players.

I think we just became the cool kids. πŸ™‚

  1. lol. Gratz on being the cool kids. On our server, there seems to be a lot of guilds that are breaking up. So, we’ve had an influx of people wanting to join (not sure if it’s related). Sadly though, it’s all the classes we don’t need. lol.

  2. That’s great!! The ability to rely on your guildies to be able to actually do something is awesome! Congrats on being able to get in there and get some content done. πŸ˜€

Maes last blog post..Bye Bye Kael, it was night knowinÒ€ℒ ya!!

  3. Congratulations on your growth and good luck in dealing with it. Explosive growth can put a hell of a strain on a guild. I’ve been through that cycle a couple of times. Keep having fun. πŸ™‚
