Week 10: October 12-18 2010

This week I:
– Lost 0.4 lbs. (290.2) (even a tiny win is a win)
– Drank all my water everyday. 66oz/day.
– Went to the farmer’s market (Carrots, potato, fennel, kale, bell peppers and pesto)
– New recipe this week: Spinach, Onion and Bacon Frittata

I still need to:
– Finish cleaning out the fridge

The eye doctor reports that my eye is fine.. though I have ongoing allergies. She thinks I may be mildly allergic to something in my environment. Since I have both a cat and dogs and I know that I was allergic to them as a kid.. and since I take a daily allergy pill… I’m going to go with “Yes”, I have something in my environment that I’m allergic to.. and “NO” I’m not going to get rid of it. So I’ll continue to take the eye drops she prescribed.

The Kaiser doctor was relatively nice but not terribly personable. I guess since she’s my doctor, not my friend, it’s to be expected. After hearing my current physical complaints and examining me she agrees with me that I probably have Plantars Faciiatus in my feet and prescribed a heel lift. Since I complained of sharp pain and tenderness in my left foot she had me get an xray of my left foot. It’s possible I have a fracture. She also had me get a Tetanus shot (I’m overdue for an update) and had me do a fasting blood test later in the week (I did it on Thursday morning). Other than that, everything seemed to be in order. My blood pressure was 122/83 which I guess is technically Prehypertension. Since I’m making health and lifestyle changes I’ll keep my eye on that.. but not get too worried. The Doctor’s scale is made of lies and evilness. I am seriously bummed that it showed me at a smidge over 300 when just that morning I’d weighed in at 290.6.

Much better on recording food this week.. but I’ll be glad to get after next payday and be caught up on bills. I have been skimping on grocery shopping and therefor skimping somewhat on vegetables. Also I would like to go back to having fruit in the morning with breakfast.

This Thursday/Friday/Sat/Sun we’re out of town in Anaheim for Blizzcon. I see that has a huge eating challenge.
