Wheee welcome to my yo-yo. Down 7, up 5, down 6. Ok ok, actually I’m doing very well. I’ve been slacking with recording my meals but I’ve been pretty good about keeping on track. You know, aside from ice cream on Saturday and popcorn and Reeces on Sunday. BUT even then I didn’t totally OD.

Let’s see. I’m back on track from my trip last weekend. One thing last weekend brought up for me is that now I’m very aware of my food clock. At 10am if I haven’t eaten I start to get irritated. At noon, if lunch is not forthcoming I start casting about for a quick fix.. at three there better be something reasonable in the wings. It’s not like in the “old days” when I could go all day and suddenly get to 5pm and thing.. huh.. I’m a bit hungry. No way. There might as well be an alarm set every 3-4 hours to remind me to eat. Not much.. but something.

For lunch one day last week we went out to Applebee’s. I totally ordered the wrong things.. a three-fold appetizer where none of the things on the plate were in any way good for me.. but then I only ate about 1/3 of the food. I consciously decided “Ok, I’m starting to feel full.. I get to eat one more thing. What on this plate was SO GOOD I want it to be my last bite?” I surprised myself when I realized that two out of the three things really weren’t good enough to be my last bite. So I didn’t eat them.

This week I’ve started on my third week of week three in C25K. It’s still not feeling easy and I’m not willing to go onto week 4 until week 3 is easy. Still.. the third week of week 3 feels easier than the first week did.
