Work/Programming
I’m working on the design document for my pet project. Last week I turned in the feature list. Next week I need to start meeting with interested parties to describe what the features are and how I plan to implement them. Hopefully they’ll agree that they’re good features so I can FINALLY start working on them.

Good thing too, it looks like “the big project” (the one I thought I might be assigned to in the future) has been put on hold pending mucky-muck review. In-teresting. I guess that when the estimates of how long it will take to do the project came in the Mucky-mucks decided to go back to re-examine the make vs buy decision. Ah well.. plenty to do else-wise in the meantime.

2. Home
No progress on sorting through boxes. F was out of town for the first part of the week.. and since then we’ve just been relaxing rather than messing with them. We -are- planning to spend a lot of time messing with them on Sunday. The plan is to get a storage unit in Santa Rosa on Sunday and to relocate all of our stored stuff from the old unit to the new unit on Sunday. Fun fun fun.

3. Health
Slowly getting back on track. Having a kitchen setup again is heaven. I’m having a lot of fun cooking.

I’ve decided that I’m going to jump off my morning bus ride early to get in a 30 minute walk. I just don’t see any way for me to get up any earlier to get exercise in.. so I’m going to incorporate it into my commute.

4. SCA/Projects
This week I made lots of progress on my 15th Century black Waisted Kirtle. I’ve made the skirt and attached it to the bodice. I just need to add sleeves and hem it and it’ll be wearable.

It’s actually not as unflattering as I expected. Well.. I guess I need to wait to see how it looks in pictures before I can commit to it being flattering. It -does- emphasize my waist and boobs.. which F sees as a good thing.. but the jury is still out.

5.
Last weekend we went to Beltane. It’s been so long since we camped it actually kind of felt like we were using other people’s stuff. I had a hard time remember where things were stored or even if we had certain things with us.

That said it was nice. I think our camping bed is more comfortable than our home bed. And waking up in canvas is lovely.

We were supposed to have Esmeralda take our “save the date” pictures at Beltane but unfortunately she tripped on Friday night and broke her foot. She still spent the entire time insisting that she could still take our pictures.. but both F and I decided it was better to wait. At this point I’m not sure what exactly we’re going to do.. but I do want to do something soon.

Future:
May 12 Mist/Cyn War
May 19 Mists Spring Investiture
May 25-27 Cynaguan Coronet
June 2 Golden Rivers Rapier Championship and Collegium
June 9 Duchess War
June 15-17 A&S Tournament
June 22-24 June Crown
June 30 FREE WEEKEND!!
July 4-8 West An Tir War
July 14 Cynaguan Summer Investiture
July 21 FREE WEEKEND!!
July 27-August 12 Pennsic
Fall down go BOOM!
August 31, 2013 My wedding in Billings Montana

1.
