VLCD day 25.<\/p>\n

All things considered I had a good day yesterday. We decided to celebrate my birthday by going out to see the movie “Brave” (sans popcorn). The movie started at 5:40 but wouldn’t get out until 8-ish so I knew by the end of the movie I’d be starving. So on the way to the movie I ate an apple. This worked and I wasn’t preoccupied with the smell of popcorn during the movie. Good movie. I cried.. and I think we’re going to name our first daughter Merida.<\/p>\n

Anyway, after the movie we went by the grocery store to buy some steaks to cook up for dinner. This is where I went slightly off the rails. I ended up getting a pre-packaged bacon-wrapped filet mignon. First off there was probably twice as much meat in that as I should have eaten.. second off it was wrapped in two strips of -bacon!-.. and third off it tasted kind of sweet.. so I think the package contained some kind of marinade.<\/p>\n

I ate the whole thing. I knew I probably shouldn’t.. but I did it anyway. So no loss today. But I’m ok with it. I managed to celebrate my birthday without dessert or ice cream. I think ODing on a bit of steak is forgivable.<\/p>\n
