The taste.. and the strings and the watery-ness and just meh&#8230; BUT I -am- trying.  I decided maybe I&#8217;d like it better if it was cooked.  So I tried out this recipe from <a href=\"http:\/\/joycewu.wordpress.com\/2009\/04\/22\/sauteed-celery-with-garlic-and-scallions\/\">The Vain Gourmet<\/a> for Sauteed Celery with Garlic. It was good.. but I think it used way too much oil.  So I&#8217;m going to modify it to use spray oil instead.<\/p>\n<p>I cooked it up and I actually found it kind of addictive.  I just wanted to keep munching on the celery bits.  I think this would pair nicely with an oriental dish.. the soy sauce just says &#8220;oriental&#8221;.  Hmm -OR- I could also finish it off with a different sauce&#8230; if I can think of a different sauce.  Anyway.  <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>Sauteed Celery with Garlic and Scallions<\/h2>\n<p>Serves 2 as a side-dish<br \/>\nFrom <a href=\"http:\/\/joycewu.wordpress.com\/2009\/04\/22\/sauteed-celery-with-garlic-and-scallions\/\">The Vain Gourmet<\/a><br \/>\n<b>Ingredients<\/b><br \/>\nCooking Spray.<br \/>\n1 large clove garlic (thinly sliced)<br \/>\n1 scallion (cut into 1\/2\u2033 pieces)<br \/>\n4 stalks of celery (cut into 1\/4\u2033 slices)<br \/>\n1\/4 cup water<br \/>\nsoy sauce<\/p>\n<p><b>Procedure<\/b><br \/>\nSpray a skillet with cooking spray and heat on medium high heat.  Add garlic and scallion, saute until fragrant (about 2 minutes).  Add celery and water.  Cover with a lid and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Add soy sauce and cook for another few minutes.  Test with a fork and cook to your desired tenderness.
