I had left over food on Thursday so it seemed silly to go buy more food. That said, Emma and Olivia dropped off a HUGE box of produce when the stopped by my house on Saturday.
– Cleaned out my fridge. I’m about 3/4 done. I need to wait for The Man to get home so he can help me pull the fridge out so I can clean under the bottom drawer.
– New recipe this week: Made homemade wheat bread

I still need to:
– Start collecting clear/glass containers for storing stuff in the fridge to make stuff easy to identify.

A lot of stress this week. I need to concentrate on making protein AND complex carbs for every dinner. I’m falling into bad habits of making either one or the other for dinner. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are fine.. but dinner is a struggle.

This coming week I’m on my period. I’m happy to note that this last week wasn’t especially turbulent emotionally.. so my PMSing is down… but still..stress is the diet killer.

Stress is the diet-killer.
Stress is the little-death that brings total obliteration (of the calorie count).
I will face my stress.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the stress has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
(and I will not have eaten anything naughty for the sake of killing it.)

On the good side, I finally made home made bread. It was whole wheat and relatively healthy.. on the bad side.. it wasn’t as tasty as I wanted it to be. I think it needs more salt. On the WORST side: despite it not being as tasty as I wanted, I still had way too much of it… stress + bread leads to overeating bread.. even when I’m thinking to myself “Huh, this bread isn’t as good as I was expecting”.

As long as I keep my head.. and eat decent servings, bread is fine. In fact, grilled pizza is GREAT. I just need to watch my portions.

Breakfasts:
T: Sunnyside Original Plain Yogurt, 1/4 cup grapenuts, 1 fresh peach, Bigelow Raspberry Royale Tea
W: Soft boiled egg on toast with fresh peach
F: 1/4 cup strained Plain Yogurt, 1 fresh peach, Bigelow Raspberry Royale Tea
S: 1/4 cup strained Plain Yogurt, 1 fresh peach, 1 Tbsp crushed flax seed
S: 1/4 cup strained Plain Yogurt, 1 cup fresh strawberries, 1 Tbsp crushed flax seed
M: 1/4 cup strained Plain Yogurt, 1 Tbsp crushed flax seed, Bigelow Raspberry Royale Tea

Lunches:
T: Spinach salad with fresh mozzarella, 1/2 grill AB chicken breast, fresh roasted tomatoes.
W: 1/4 cup Red Quinoa with spinach, roasted tomato and goat cheese
Th: wheat shell pasta with beef bits, spinach and onions
F: Spinach salad with fresh mozzarella, 1/2 grill AB chicken breast, fresh roasted tomatoes.
S: Brown rice with green onion, garlic, egg, carrot
S: Brown rice cakes with spinach, mozzarella, and roasted tomatoes.
M: None (Got too busy and forgot to eat)

Afternoon Snacks:
T: 1/2 cup ricotta with dried cranberries and honey
W: 1/4 cup salt roasted soy nuts
Th: None
F: None
S: Too much fresh baked bread with butter and jam
S: None
M: None

Dinners:
T: Outback Salmon with green beans and wallabeedarned
W: Swordfish with brown butter and prunes
Th: Chicken with whole wheat fettuccine and pesto (boo, had two servings)
F: Chicken with whole wheat fettuccine and pesto
S: Homemade pizza: Parmesian cheese and olive oil (boo, no veggies, too much bread)
S: Homemade pizza: chicken, feta, zucchini, onion and pesto (better, but ate too much)
M: 1/2 Costco stuffed Salmon.
