Anyway. I’ll save y’all from having to ask.

I’m 8 weeks + 3 day out from Bariatric Sleeve surgery.

I’m officially a free-range human. There are no limits placed on what I can eat.. aside from what my body can tolerate.

Normal day:

B: 1 egg, 1 piece of whole wheat toast with butter
L: ~1/2 cup of something left over from a previous dinner
D: ~1/2 cup of something protein rich made for dinner
~24+oz water

Based on this I’m finding it SUPER frustrating that my body is stuck at this specific weight for the last 3 weeks. This is ~10 lbs greater than my lowest adult weight EVER. *sigh* okay, deep breath. It won’t be forever and the food I’m eating now is about half of what I would have pre-WLS so I suppose my body will sort itself out eventually. In the meantime I soldier on.

I am still finding that I need slightly smaller clothes. It’s not quite enough of a change to buy a new wardrobe. Some of my shirts are now off-the-shoulder and I’m digging into the back of my lingerie drawer to find smaller bras. Added bonus some of my smaller bras are actually cute… (because so many people see my cute bra.. *eyeroll* whatever).

I am slightly frustrated that it feels like there’s a lot more to lose.. that just isn’t getting lost so I can’t work on new garb. Not a huge loss since my sewing machine is in at the sewing machine doctor. Meh, I guess I’ll go knit another hat.. or maybe some garters.

Per Doctor recommendation I gave up coffee 9 weeks ago. I’m finding that I miss the ceremony that used to kick off my day with a normal morning coffee. I tried changing to decaf but it doesn’t feel the same so I’ve really just gone cold turkey. So now I’m just feeling like a poser with all of my t-shirts that say things like “No adulting before coffee” when I am no longer drinking coffee.

NSAIDs are a blessing.. and I feel better with them than I did without them.. but my hip still hurts. A lot. I’m completely DONE with gimping around with a cane and having folks make special allowances for me. I don’t want to need that and I’m irritated at my body that needing it is a thing. Meh. Based on my weight stall I doubt I’m going to get hip surgery any time soon and I certainly won’t be completely recovered before Pennsic. Double Meh. Still trying to figure out how to work with that.

Them: so.. *head tilt* how are you doing? LOL. Anyway.
