If you’re at all like me and you’re supplementing your electrolytes** then you know that potassium citrate powder tastes metallic and foul. After a bit of experimentation I’ve figured out how to hide the taste.<\/p>\n

Back Story<\/h2>\n

For the last month or two I’ve made a conscious effort to get all my electrolytes (magnesium, potassium and sodium). Previously I figured that my food choices were sufficient to cover my electrolytes. Then, back in September, I started having the incidents of hypoglycemia so I took a step back and reassessed everything.  I then decided to supplement magnesium and potassium (I use a heavy hand with the table salt so I figure that’s covered).<\/p>\n

With the potassium I ended up using 1\/4 tsp of “Now – Potassium Citrate Powder<\/a>“. Initially I added this to my water.  It tasted absolutely foul so I also added Mio to the water. I don’t hate Mio.. but I don’t love it either. So this last week I started adding the potassium to my coffee.<\/p>\n

The Fix<\/h2>\n

Y’all the potassium disappears into coffee like it just isn’t there. Since coffee is a requirement for me in the morning this has become a win-win situation.<\/p>\n
