Really I think the loss this week is half from last week. I would have shown a loss last week except that the pizza Friday/Saturday put too much salt in my system causing me to show a gain (which was probably water weight). Regardless I think my plateaus is definitely busted.

I’m in week two of C25k and I still haven’t died. I won’t say I have a runner’s high.. but I am actually looking forward to the morning runs. Week 1 (60 seconds running/90 seconds walking) passed without incident and this week I’m at 90 seconds of running interspersed with 2 minutes of walking.

I’m also clipping along on my Abs. I read an interesting article and watched a video about abs and I’ve now added planks to my ab routine. I figure when vanilla planks become easy (HA!) I’ll invest in the book mentioned in the video.

I found my favorite yogurt at another branch of my grocery store. I’m still thinking about making homemade yogurt.. but for some reason there’s something holding me back. I think it’s the “I’ve never done this before” thing. Meh. I need to just do it.

Last weekend I made a batch of Lentil stew just so I’d have it in the freezer. It went straight to “leftovers” and has never been a “meal”. I’m grooving on that for lunches.

I got the opportunity to shop-at-home again this week. I dug through my “too small” box and found two more pairs of pants I’ve now shrunk into. Good thing too. I was down to only having one pair of usable jeans. So now I’m up to 3 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of work jeans and I still have two more pairs of “too-small” jeans in the box. I think I also have another box in the garage. I may try and dig that out this coming weekend.

This is week 26. That’s half a year. This morning I weighed in at exactly 40 lbs down from when I started. I wish I could have said 60 lbs.. but the 10 lb a month goal has been hard to reach each month. Regardless, I’m making progress against my goals. I’ve passed my initial goal of 10% body weight loss. I’m swiftly approaching my 2X goal. That is at 272 lbs I’ll be at exactly twice my long-term goal and 15% down from my original weight. It’s also the weight I was at when I moved to California 10 years ago.

I say it’s about time.

Breakfasts:
T: 1/2 cup yogurt(yo-baby ick) with 1/4 cup dried golden raisins, 1/8 cup grapenuts, 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 Tbsp fish oil, 1 multi-vitamin, Work Machine Coffee
W: 1/2 cup yogurt(yo-baby ick) with 1/4 cup dried golden raisins, 1/8 cup grapenuts, 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 Tbsp fish oil, 1 multi-vitamin, Work Machine Coffee
Th: 2 slices of multi-grain bread, 1 hard boiled egg, 1 Tbsp fish oil, 1 mult-vitamin, Work Machine Coffee
F: 2 slices of multi-grain bread, 1 hard boiled egg, 1 Tbsp fish oil, 1 mult-vitamin, Work Machine Coffee
S: Pin oats with fresh strawberries and honey
S: two breakfast bits (egg, bacon, onion, green pepper) with 1/2 fuji apple
M: 3/4 cup yogurt(Chobani v. tasty) with 1/4 cup dried golden raisins, 1/8 cup grapenuts, 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 multi-vitamin, Work Machine Coffee

Lunches:
T: Parppadelle with chicken
W: Gnocci Alfredo with chicken
Th: SF Soup Co Half a beef sandwich
F: Ground Beef and Barley Stew
S: Chilli with brown rice,
S: Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich and 1/2 apple
M: Lentil Stew

Afternoon Snacks:
T: 1/4 cup golden raisins and 1/8 cup dried soy nuts
W: 1/4 cup golden raisins and 1/2 cup peanuts
Th: Fuji Apple
F: Fuji Apple
S: Brown rice with cinnamon and sugar and butter
S: None
M: Apple

Dinners:
T: Gnocci Alfredo with chicken
W: Peanutbutter and Jelly sandwich
Th: Ground Beef and Barley Stew
F: Chicken Fajita with cheese and sour cream
S: Chilli with brown rice and cheese, brown rice with cinnamon, sugar and butter
S: Garlic Chicken with pasta and pesto (and onions and swiss chard and fresh parsley)
M: Clean Beef Stroganoff with egg noodles

This week I: – Lost 7 lbs (278.0) – Drank all my water everyday(66oz/day). – Went to the farmer’s market(Carrots, red onions, apples, scallions, swiss chard, leeks, parsley, and strawberries (!!)). – New recipe this week: Ground Beef and Barley Stew, Breakfast bites, Clean Beef Stroganoff I still need to: – Finish cleaning out the […]

[91

post-631","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-progress
["GET
