It went really well until day 9 when I got lazy and didn’t pack lunch for an event(so I ate lunch off the dayboard) and later found myself with friends in an Applebee’s and made -okay- choices.. but not totally “on-plan” to the point where I could say I kept a “Hard Ten”. I need to figure out how to not “lose it” when I go into a restaurant. Better choices, smaller portions and avoiding empty calorie drinks.

Other than that the “Hard 10” was great. It totally put me back on track. I think I’ll do it again but in an informal way. The biggest problem is that if I’m in the middle of a “Hard Ten” and people know I’m in the middle of this “Hard Ten” then they feel bad inviting me out to a restaurant. I don’t want that. I mean I don’t want to go out to a restaurant every night.. but I don’t feel that once a week if I make a healthy choice is bad. So.. My plan is to “do a soft ten” Which is.. keep 100% on plan.. but be ok to wiggle to healthy choice no more than one restaurant meal a week.

So yeah! I’m posting a loss this week. This week I passed a milestone. I now weigh in at ~272 lbs. That’s important for several reasons:

– That’s double my goal weight (136*2). From now on I have less to lose than my goal weight.
– That’s 25% of the total weight I have to lose, gone (318-136)/4. I am one-quarter of the way done with the “losing” part of my new lifestyle.
– That’s (purtydurnclose to) 15% of my initial body weight gone (318-(318*0.15)=270.3)

In celebration I bought myself a heart monitor :D. Well.. to be honest I bought the monitor last week.. but it’s not here yet.. so it’s totally like a reward at this point.

Breakfasts:
T: 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup dried cranberries, 1/8 cup grapenuts, multi-vitamin, 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 Tbsp fish oil
W: 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup dried cranberries, 1/8 cup grapenuts, multi-vitamin, 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 Tbsp fish oil
Th: 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup dried cranberries, 1/8 cup grapenuts, multi-vitamin, 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 Tbsp fish oil
F: 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup dried cranberries, 1/8 cup grapenuts, multi-vitamin, 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 Tbsp fish oil
S:1/4 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup dried cherries, 1/8 cup grapenuts, 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed,
S: Soleil Cafe: 1 english muffin, 1 egg, 2 slices bacon, 1 bowl cream of wheat, 1 slice French toast (I ate too much)
M: 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/4 cup dried cranberries, 1/8 cup grapenuts, multi-vitamin, 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 Tbsp fish oil

Lunches:
T: Jumbo stuffed shell pasta
W: Chicken and rice soup
Th: Jumbo stuffed shell pasta
F: Venison Pot Pie
S: Assorted meats+Turkey and cheddar on a bun with mustard
S: None
M: Venison Pot Pie

Afternoon Snacks:
T:
W:
Th: Ricotta with dried cranberries and honey
F:

Dinners:
T: Jumbo stuff shell pasta and 1/2 grilled ham and cheese sandwich
W: Venison Pot Pie
Th: Spicy Sausage and egg noodles
F: Chicken Amondine with steamed green beans
S: Applebee’s Spicy meat shredded sandwich (ok.. but not great)
S: Penne with meat sauce and green salad with blue cheese, tomatoes and balsamic salad dressing (I ate too much)
M: Salad with blue cheese, balsamic dressing and chicken

This week I: – Lost 2.4 lbs (271.6) – Drank all my water everyday(66oz/day). – Didn’t go to the farmer’s market (work meeting). – New recipe this week: Chicken Amondine I still need to: – Finish cleaning out the fridge(I need F’s help.
