I totally fell down on the job on this this month. I’ve been busy busy busy and haven’t sewn a dang thing. The closest I got was doing some work to finish off the lapels and buttons on my wool coat.

Read a book a month – Finished Tess of the D’Urbervilles. Reading this took longer than expected. That said.. it was an interesting book. I spent most of the book trying to pinpoint the time period of the book.. and then the rest of the time trying to guess where the story was going. I got it totally wrong. The ending surprised and saddened me but honestly looking back over the book there was plenty of fore-shadowing.

Cook my way through a cookbook – Maybe this wasn’t a good goal to set. Honestly I’m cooking a lot of stuff.. but I just can’t see limiting myself to one cookbook.. or cooking all of the entries in that one cookbook. I may drop this as a goal.

Complete the C25K program – I -finally- moved on to week 4. Honestely week 4 is feeling easier than week 3 ever did. I think I’ll end up doing week 4 for two weeks and then move onto week 5. Regardless, I’m making good progress on this.

Pay off credit card debt – DONE. Well initially done anyway. I paid off the balance on the card and then have been using it for groceries to keep a rolling balance on there. Still.. it’s good to have my debt at a managable level.

Pay off Debtors – Almost done. I still need to pay off one person.

Lose 30 lbs by May – Working on this.. as of this morning I’m down 14.2 lbs for the year (I started at the year at 286.8 and end the month at 272.6). If I can keep up momentum I should be able to hit this goal.. but it’s looking like a close thing.

Continue with Weekly check ins on “Results Typical” blog. – check

Continue with Friday Fives on LiveJournal(cross posted from Results Typical) – check

March Achievements:

Goal: Lose 10 lbs.
Outcome: I started the month at 276.2 and end the month at 272.6. That’s a loss of 3.6 lbs for the month. It’s actually fairly far off of 10… regardless I’ll take it and count it as a win. At the moment I’m down 45.4 lbs since I started in August 2010. That puts me at having lost 25% of the total weight I aim to lose.. it also marks my 15% of initial body weight loss.. and puts me at two times my goal weight. Nice number.

Goal: Cook at least 1 new recipe a week.
Outcome: I missed one week but made up for it by cooking 3 new things the next week. Of the ones I did document, most of them were good. New recipes this month:
Venison Stew(win), Jumbo Stuffed Shells(win), Black Forest Ham and Caramelized Onion Grilled Cheese(win), Trout Amondine(win), $50 Kicker Chilli (win)

Goal: Continue with Ab-Divas */100 and do it daily. Keep doing it.
Outcome: As of this morning I’m at 89/100. Boo-ya!

Goal: Do either treadmill or Kinect workout every work-day morning.
Outcome: I still haven’t done a Kinect workout since getting the treadmill. I =have= been doing the treadmill almost every morning though.

Goal: Continue with C25K.
Outcome: I finally finished week 3 and moved on to week 4. I’m buzzing along on this. I do think I’ll repeat week 4 but I am loving the way this is making me feel.

Goal: Take the stairs at work at least once a day. (5th floor walk up)
Outcome: Every workday I take the stairs. I’m still out of breath when I get them done.. but I think I’m less out of breath now then when I started.

Goal: Clean the kitchen floor and fridge.
Outcome: Fail. Meh. I must have some mental block about completing this.

Goal: Sew 1 new thing.
Outcome: Fail. I have lots of plans.. and I’ve washed lots of fabric.. but I didn’t complete anything.

Goal: Read 1 book.
Outcome: I finished “Tess of the D’Urbervilles”. Reading this took longer than expected. That said.. it was an interesting book. I spent most of the book trying to pinpoint the time period of the book.. and then the rest of the time trying to guess where the story was going. I got it totally wrong.
