I don’t like celery. The taste.. and the strings and the watery-ness and just meh… BUT I -am- trying. I decided maybe I’d like it better if it was cooked. So I tried out this recipe from The Vain Gourmet for Sauteed Celery with Garlic. It was good.. but I think it used way too much oil. So I’m going to modify it to use spray oil instead.
I cooked it up and I actually found it kind of addictive. I just wanted to keep munching on the celery bits. I think this would pair nicely with an oriental dish.. the soy sauce just says “oriental”. Hmm -OR- I could also finish it off with a different sauce… if I can think of a different sauce. Anyway.
