Them: so.. *head tilt* how are you doing?
LOL. Anyway. I’ll save y’all from having to ask.
I’m 1 year and 1 month out from gastric sleeve, and 6 months post-op from a full left hip replacement I have a reverse right total shoulder replacement surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday 3/25.
Better living through replacing joints. No really. The replaced hip is FABULOUS. It is SO MUCH BETTER moving around on the new hip. It still has twinges and certain things where I need to be careful but it is SO MUCH BETTER. At this point it feels like my other hip will be good for a while so I’ll keep that one until it starts feeling worse. I’ve had a shoulder impingement for years and it’s just in the last 6 months that it’s become REALLY painful. Once I could get the CT scan the Ortho doctor was able to get me in for the surgery very quickly. It looks like I may be in a sling for that for up to 6 weeks.
Today I visited with my regular doctor and we adjusted my blood pressure medicines. I told her I’ve have a feeling like my “check engine” light is on and after describing the symptoms (face and hands cold, feeling faint) she thinks that with the weight loss and better movement my blood pressure medicines are at too high a dosage. So we’ve cut back on those quite a bit.
