Goal: Lose 10 lbs.
Outcome: I started the month at 291.2 and end the month at 284.6. That’s a difference of 6.6 lbs. That’s not great.. but considering I had 2 weeks of 0 movement.. I’ll count that as a win. At the moment, I’m currently down 33.4 lbs since I started in August.
Goal: Cook at least 1 new recipe a week.
Outcome: I missed one week. That said, I’m about 50/50 with good vs bad new recipes. Chicken Tikka Masala is a definate keeper.. but pasta baked in red sauce with sausage needs more tinkering. The slow-cooker Chili Con Carne was not good.
Goal: Start Ab-Divas 50/50 and do it daily.
Outcome: I started it not once but twice 😀 I made it to 18/50 and then forgot to do them so started over at 1. I’m at 10/50 today.
Goal: Do 30 minutes of Wii Fit every morning.
Outcome: Well.. for the first part of the month I totally failed at this. Then we traded in the Wii Fit and got the XBOX Kinect. Since then I’ve done “Your Shape: Fitness Evoloved” every weekday that I’ve been home except for one. So far it’s doing a very nice job. I found that Wii Fit was more of an aerobic/cardio work out.. where as Kinect has been making my butt/thighs sore practically every day. I plan to alternate “Your Shape” Mon/Wed/Fri and then do Dance Central for Cardio on Tue/Thur.
Bonus: I also started taking the stairs at work. Since my office is on the 5th floor I view this as an instant win. Now if only I could get to my office without huffing and puffing.
SMART goals are specific, measurable, actionable, realistic and time-sensative.
December Goals:
Lose 10 lbs. I still feel this is a reasonable goal. In fact, considering it’s the holiday season 10 lbs might be ambitious. But I’ll stick with it anyway.
Cook at least 1 new recipe a week. Again, good thing to strive for. This forces me to stretch and try other recipes.
Continue with Ab-Divas 50/50 and do it daily. . JUST DO EEET!!
Do Kinect workout every work-day morning. At this point I’m doing 2 workouts a day and as I mentioned I plan to alternate between Toning MWF and Cardio TTh.
Move my wakeup time back 30 minutes. I added the workout in the morning without adjusting my wakeup time. This has been causing me to get out of the house by 8. I’d rather be out of the house by 7:30. To do that I need to move my wakeup back 30 minutes.
