I had an interesting experience yesterday.

A few months ago I grew out of my jeans. I could kind of still wear them but they were too small through the thighs. So I ordered two new pairs of jeans. The new jeans were the right size in the thigh but too big in the waist. Regardless, I needed jeans with the added fabric in the thigh so I just wore the jeans with a belt to keep the waist tucked in (All the while grousing to myself that I needed to do something about this.. and yet not actually doing anything).

Then I started clean eating.. and yesterday morning I tried on a bunch of my formerly-to-small jeans to see if any of them were fitting again. They did and I was giddy with happy trying on the different pairs (my jean selection just went from 2 to 6). Then I put on a pair of the old smaller jeans and stood there holding the two pairs of old big jeans and had an argument with myself.

Ducal is next weekend. All my donations whether it be kitchenware or clothes go to Ducal. BUT I’m conflicted. Do I put these in the donate pile now.. or keep them for a while? I’m not planning to back slide to that larger size.. but I -just- shrunk out of those jeans. It seems foolhardy to move them to the donate pile so quickly.. and at the same time I feel guilty keeping them. If I keep them I’m saying “I think I might give up what I’m doing now and need these big fat jeans so I will keep them”. Although that’s NOT what I’m thinking.. I just kind of want to keep them around until I shrink down to the next size. Is that so bad?
