Medieval Fireless Cooking

  • I see some interesting articles. I saw a link to this site when we were talking about the Transvanilian Cookbook in the fb “SCA Cooks” group. I like that article, and also the one you wrote on fireless cooking. I am THLord Stefan li Rous and I run a large medieval and SCA website called Stefan’s Florilegium. I would like to give some of your articles a larger audience. May I have permission to add some of them to the Florilegium? You keep the copyright and I accept updates. I’m also happy to add a link to an author’s website or blog so readers can find more work by an author.

Just in case you haven’t seen it, here is a file I have in the Florilegium FOOD section:\
    no-fire-cook-msg (14K) 6/ 9/00 Period no-fire and solar cooking.

Until your article, this is all I had seen on this.

    Thanks for listening.

    • Your Lordship Stefan, I would be honored by the inclusion of anything you saw fit to include in the Florilegium. Please feel free!

And yes, when I first came across that picture of the double pot for fireless cooking, that particular file in the Florilegium was an immense help to me!
