Them: so.. *head tilt* how are you doing?
LOL. Anyway. I’ll save y’all from having to ask.
I’m 4 months + 8 days post Bariatric Sleeve surgery.
Overall since I started back with the Bariatric program, including the loss before surgery, I’ve lost 60 lbs (started at “B” on the graph). Since right after surgery I’ve lost 35.6 lbs (surgery date is “A” on the graph). Earlier this week I -finally- broke through a plateau that lasted April/May/June. At this point I’m 8 lbs above the weight set by my orthopedic surgeon for getting my hip surgery. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping this current weight loss trend continues at least for the next 8 lbs so we can just deal with the hip and move on. At this point I’m below my lowest adult weight -ever- which last happened in 2018.
My hip hurts. Some days are okay and it is achy and unstable. Other days it hurts like hell and I just don’t want to get up and move. NSAIDS continue to be a blessing.
Pennsic is coming.. and I have nothing to wear. Not sure what I’m going to do about that. I’m mid-weight-loss so I don’t want to spend a lot of effort on anything.. but I also can’t spend two weeks running around naked (Okay.. Pennsic would probably be okay with that but -I’m- not okay with that). I suppose I should figure that out asap.
Today’s my birthday. I’m 52. I don’t feel 52. I feel mid-30s. Whatever. I started my day off with a coffee date with Fearghus and Erik (I had a chai latte) and we’re planning to go out to dinner tonight to the Hoof and Barrel in York. We’re also taking a “just us” camping trip over the weekend. All-in-all it should be fun.
