Staple-free

Staples are removed. I’m released into the wild (additional follow-up in 1 month and I’m receiving a referral for out-patient PT). Doctor was impressed that I was using a cane instead of a walker and says my recovery is going well. The incision looks great (even better without 30 staples on it) and I’m supposed to ice the swelling that’s still going on underneath. I’m allowed to drive and touch the floor. Putting on socks is still going to continue to be a struggle but I’m going to get a sock helper from Amazon to make that better.
