LOL. Anyway. I’ll save y’all from having to ask.
I’m 4 weeks + 1 days out from Bariatric Sleeve surgery.
I had kind of a stall this week. I’ve lost just over 19 lbs which is pretty much where I was last week. I blame female hormones.. or the moon or the patriarchy. Idaknow. I’m not really eating more.. but I am taking antibiotics. Voodoo.
My last incision is looking better (good job antibiotics).. but the skin around it looks AWEFUL. I think I’m allergic to the adhesive on bandaids. The bandages I used for the first few days made the skin around the incision look like a sunburn (complete with blisters). I changed to another type of bandage and the “sunburn” has retreated. It still looks irritated. I have a follow-up appointment with my PCP on Friday.
Hip hurts, back hurts. Same old same old. T-minus 1.5 weeks until I can consider taking NSAIDS again.
This week I’ve moved on to the “soft” diet. Ie, things you can cut with a fork. Yesterday I ate a piece of fish. It was lovely.
